A quieter way to find your footing again
When a firm enters a difficult stretch — compressed margins, a weak quarter, a decision that deserves unhurried thought — Croxena sits with the principal and works through it, carefully and at pace.
Sit at the bank with usWhat We Offer
Three engagements, each with its own pace
Each engagement is sized to the question at hand — no larger than needed, no faster than sensible.
Restoration Engagement
A patient ten-to-twelve-week engagement for firms that have entered a difficult period. We walk through the operating record and prepare a written restoration note — setting out the smaller adjustments worth making first and the larger questions worth taking time over.
- Written restoration note + one-page summary
- Four working sessions with principal
- Ten to twelve weeks duration
RM 3,280

Cost Conversation
A focused six-week look at the firm's cost base — visible costs, quietly accumulated costs, and the costs still paying for things no longer needed. We rank candidate items for measured reduction and prepare a clear written note for the finance team.
- Line-by-line cost structure review
- Written note with ranked candidates
- Two discussion sessions
RM 2,950

What a careful engagement looks like
No formulaic frameworks
Every written note is formed around the specific firm, not transplanted from a generic consulting template. The work is original each time.
Deliberate pace
Engagements run at a pace that allows the principal to absorb findings before moving to the next question. Haste rarely serves good thinking.
Written work you can use
The core deliverable is always a written document — clear enough to share with a board or finance team, considered enough to guide decisions over months.
Principal-to-principal
Work is carried out directly by the person you brief, not passed to a junior associate. The ear at the table remains the same throughout.
Based in Kuala Lumpur
Grounded in the Malaysian business context — familiar with the regulatory environment, the typical capital structure, and how decisions tend to move in local firms.
Discreet by design
Sensitive operational and financial details shared during an engagement are treated with full confidence. We do not reference clients in any external communication.

Is there a question worth sitting with?
If your firm is in a difficult stretch, or you are weighing a single decision that deserves calm, unhurried thought — send a brief note. We will respond within one working day to arrange an initial conversation at no commitment.
Common Questions
What principals often ask first
What kinds of firms do you typically work with?
Primarily small to mid-sized Malaysian businesses — those with a principal or small leadership team who are working through a difficult period and want an outside perspective that is measured rather than prescriptive. We have worked across services, light manufacturing, and professional practices.
How is this different from a standard consulting engagement?
Standard consulting often arrives with a framework already in hand. We begin with the firm's actual operating record — the specific numbers, the specific quarter, the specific people involved — and build the written note from there. The output is a considered document, not a presentation deck.
Do you implement the changes you recommend?
No. Our work is advisory — we prepare the written note and discuss it with the principal. The decision on what to act on and how to act rests entirely with the firm's leadership. This keeps the relationship clean and the advice genuinely independent.
What does the initial conversation involve?
A short call or meeting — usually thirty to forty-five minutes — to understand the firm's situation at a general level and determine which engagement, if any, would be the right fit. There is no fee for this first conversation and no obligation to proceed.
What financial information do you need access to?
For the Restoration Engagement and Cost Conversation, we typically review management accounts, a recent P&L, and any relevant operational data — shared at the principal's discretion. For the Restoration Note, the scope is narrower and aligned to the specific question.
How are engagements priced and invoiced?
Fees are fixed per engagement and stated in Malaysian Ringgit. For the two longer engagements, payment is typically split across the engagement period. The Restoration Note is invoiced on acceptance. All fees are agreed in writing before work begins.
